Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio is the one and only EZ Eddie D.  Known for his breaking of true underground Hip Hop in DFW for over 20 years. Producer of  many Butta breaks, blends and Hip Hop Documentaries. EZ Eddie D moved to the Dallas area in 1981.  Where he learned the art of  DJing from Master Mixter around 1982. Around this time EZ Eddie D join the Fresh Ones, a rap group, as DJ/ Producer. EZ Eddie D kept his ear to the streets and joined KNON 89.3FM on the “Cisco Soul and The Party Patrol” in 1984. And by 1986 he was the DJ for the “Nippy Jones MixShow”. From all his work and effort EZ Eddie D received his own show a year later titled the “Down By Show.”  This is one of the longest running Hip Hop radio show in Texas, the show is currently ran under the name “Knowledge Dropped, Lesson Taught” . His show plays underground music under the backdrop of social and political commentary. In 1988, EZ Eddie D joined D.D.T. as the DJ/ Producer. He also joined Funktatics as Dj/Producer in 1994.
Also, a wizard on the turntables; his specialty of blends blessed the Blind Lemon, a Dallas nightclub, with an unique mix of funk and soul for 10 years from 1992 to 2002. EZ Eddie D is currently DJing at the Pharmacy in Deep Ellum. Plus, EZ Eddie D finds the time to produce for many local artists and groups such as Epatomied, Legendary Fritz and the Gumeos. Make sure all radios are tuned in to Knowledge Dropped, Lesson Taught on KNON 89.3FM Saturdays from 5 to 7PM.
