MR. NO

UDC: Name? Background? Who are you?

MN: My name is Mr. No. I’m from North Dallas, Texas. I was born in Parkland Hospital. Proud to be a Texan. I’ve been rhyming since eighty-nine. Just freestyle until I got serious writing about two years after I started. I began doing my thing and getting on tracks. I got with Crunk Records. My people. We are doing our thang.

UDC: Explain what Mr. No and Crunk Records means to you?

MN: What Mr. No means to me… It’s just me. I can only explain it in my songs. Crunk Records is the label, that explains itself. Crunk Records, we’re crunk, we’re always doing things, we’re always on the go, we’re going to do it and we’ll make it happen.

UDC: Is there a message or theme in the music that you make?

MN: Of course, I always say things that are positive. I still talk about the negative, that’s a part of life. But I also talk about the things that can help a brother, give them a positive message about this rap game. How you can make it from nothing. I’m from the struggle so I’ve hustled and all of that. Now I’m on the right path doing the rap thing. What ever your dreams are go for it. It’s possible.

UDC: What’s priority number one for Mr. No?

MN: Just to stay tight. Keep my business straight. That’s my number one priority right now, business, and my music. I want to let everyone know who Mr. No and who Crunk Records are.

UDC: How do you feel the internet has affected your music and Hip Hop as a whole?

MN: It’s a big help. Fans all around the world get to hear your music from the internet. It’s a big positive aspect added to the game.

UDC: Do you think that music downloader’s should be penalized for illegal downloads?

MN: Don’t get me wrong. Yes, if anyone is bootlegging your music, they are stealing. They should be penalized. Stealing from me or stealing from any artist that’s trying to make it in music is wrong. Just by downloading the music for free then giving it to anybody, your making it twice as hard for the artists to make music now. Show me love and I’m going to show you love. We need each other.

UDC: Describe Mr. No in five years?

MN: I’ll still be number one on the charts. Number one in the country. Giving my fans what they want every hour.

UDC: Are there any words you would like to express to your audience?

MN: Stay tuned, because Mr. No is going to give you what you want. Crunk Records is going to bring it. We got 2Real, those brothers are all the way live. Just stay down with us. Put us at number one on the charts. I’m here to show you love. Mr. No
